松の木に丸一日とまっていたチゴハヤブサのメス成鳥。
地元ではあまり見られない鳥なので、こんなにゆっくり見られたのは嬉しかったです。
A female adult Hobby had pearched on the branch all day long in Hegura Island.
It is not so common bird in our region, so it was nice to see it like this.

本土の内陸部ではなかなか見られないムギマキですが、この日はオス成鳥と、第一回夏羽が1羽ずつ見られました。
オス成鳥。

Mugimaki is a pretty rare bird in the mainland, but I saw this bird and another male 1st summer on this day.

この日、海岸の岩礁地帯ではマミジロツメナガセキレイとムネアカタヒバリを1羽ずつ見付けられました。
なんとか撮影できたムネアカタヒバリは、この時期の割には胸の赤味が無いので、第一回夏羽かと思われます。
I found a Red-throated Pipit at the shore of Hegura Island.
It could be a 1st summer bird, because it doesn't have any reddish tint around the throat at this time of year.

舳倉島にて、センダイムシクイ。
この日は、エゾムシクイとセンダイムシクイがたくさん見られました。
Eastern Crowned Warbler in Hegura Island.
エゾムシクイと比べると、開けた草地や、少し高い枝間で行動していました。
They were in the open grass areas or rather higher branches compared to Sakhalin Leaf Warbler.

この日、低い茂みの中にはエゾムシクイがたくさんいました。
Sakhalin Leaf Warbler in Hegura Island.
They were basically moving in the lower position of the bush.
色々な鳥たちが地面で採餌しているのも、とても舳倉らしいシーンです。
To see many kinds of birds are feeding on the ground is very Hegura-like.

サシバはこの日1羽だけ見られました。
島から北に向かって渡って行きました。
I saw a Grey-faced Buzzard in Hegura Island on this day.
It is just migrating northward.

渡りの時期、ハチクマも舳倉島上空をよく通過します。
We usually see Honey Buzzards in migratory seasons in Hegura Island.

5月半ばの遠征となった今回、島中でキビタキが見られました。

この日は成鳥が、カメラ目線で飛んできてくれました。
